The Department of Medicine at the Cumming School of Medicine is now accepting applications for the position of Research Nurse. This is a part-time, fixed-term position expected to last approximately six months, with the possibility of an extension based on ongoing funding from the Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Health System (PRIHS) Program.

Position Overview:
As a Research Nurse, you will be responsible for collecting and analyzing patient data related to a research project, working directly with the Principal Investigator. Key Responsibilities:
- Extract and analyze patient data from the Connect Care patient record system, ensuring compliance with research protocols.

- Maintain a secure and organized database of patient information, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
- Monitor and report complications that may arise during or after surgery, using clinical judgment to assess patient outcomes.
- Utilize the Clavien-Dindo classification to assess and categorize the severity of surgical complications, including infections.
- Provide clear communication to the Principal Investigator regarding any data collection issues or concerns.
- Manage confidential research data with the highest level of professionalism.
- Be proactive in identifying potential complications and ensuring that data collection is precise and follows study guidelines.
Additional research duties may be assigned based on the needs of the project.

Qualifications and Requirements:
